Restoration methods depend on the type of carpet.

Glued Carpet

1. All excess water is extracted.
   
2. The carpet is treated with a fungicide.
   
3. The carpet is cleaned using A & E Flood Services exclusive methods.
   
4. The carpet is retreated with fungicides and deodorant.

Carpet with Pad

1. All excess water is extracted.
   
2. All wet pad is (and must be) thrown away.
   
3. Ideally, carpeting should be restored on-site, providing the premises are conducive to doing so. When on-site restoration is not possible, the damaged carpet is removed and treated with fungicide and deodorant, then stored on racks until ready for re-installation.
   
4. The carpet is cleaned after installation, which prevents shrinkage.
   
5. As a last step, the carpet is retreated with fungicide and deodorant.
